Annelieke quittera l’équipe de Yoast, le temps d’une journée, pour nous parler de Google Analytics lors de sa conférence « How to overcome your Google Analytics fear ? ».
C’est en début d’après-midi, dans l’amphithéatre que vous pourrez dissiper tous vos doutes concernant les statistiques de vos WordPress !
En attendant, nous lui avons posé quelques questions pour mieux la connaitre…
1 – Tell us a little about yourself …
Well hi, my name is Annelieke. Born in ‘86 in les Pays-Bas, I studied Sociology at the Radboud University in Nijmegen where my love for human behavior and data was born. I work at Yoast as the lead of the research department and love my job! I have a 4yo daughter and I like to sing and dance.
2 – Since when do you use WP and why?
I started working at Yoast about 5 years ago and that’s also the moment I started using WordPress. As an SEO consultant back then, I saw a lot of WordPress websites and started to learn more and more about it. And I’ve gotten to know the Yoast SEO plugin pretty good as well!
3 – Give us some clues about your conference
My talk is actually a personal story. It’s about my desire to do more with Google Analytics, get to know it and do awesome things with the tool but also about being confronted with the fear of learning something new, the fear of failing. In my talk I’m going to show you how I got over this fear by showing you some easy features in Google Analytics that are very powerful.
4 – Your Chinese portrait …
- If you were a WordPress extension, you would be the Yoast SEO plugin (obviously haha).
- If you were a Wapuu, you would be a WAPUUNICORN. Because it’s an unicorn ! and is has an LGBT look because of the rainbow they used.
- If you were a cookie, you would be a Google Analytics cookie. So I can analyze how people behave on our site.
- If you were a movie, you would be Dirty Dancing. Because I really love the dancing and music in this movie. Music from Dirty Dancing always works well at parties, especially Yoast parties because we have a couple of die hard Dirty Dancing fans.
- If you were a song, you would be Don’t stop me now – Queen because it’s a really nice song to sing, it makes me happy, it energizes. And this song always works well at parties as well.
- If you were a search engine query, you would be ‘Is [person X] still alive?’ Because sometimes you just wonder if someone still lives or not.
